Background Information:
Strawberries are available from April to June and sometimes in the fall if the weather cooperates.
Basic Usage and Cooking Strategies:
Eat fresh as soon as possible. If you don’t eat them within a few days, remove the stems and freeze in a storage container so that they are ready to use for smoothies, or store up a few weeks’ worth to make sorbet or jam. They are also great to add to green salads with cheese.
Storage Information:
Store unwashed, in the refrigerator up to 4-5 days, or freeze for long term storage.
